Have you ever enjoyed a neighborhood so much that you don’t want to leave it, even when there is nothing keeping you there? That’s what we have been blessed with. We’ve tried for years to find a place to downsize and move to where we would gain more than we would give up. In the end, we have such good neighbors where we are, they outweighed any of the little gains we would make with a move. For now we are staying put. I put these statues together in a still life painting because I was thinking about the ocean creatures and how many of them can’t just pick up and move. They are born and live their whole lives wherever they happen to be. What a blessing it is to be able to choose a habitat. What a blessing good neighbors are.
